Hey everyone!

Picked up my new '08 Shelby GT500 back in mid-March and have been able to get it out of the garage a fair amount already, logging about 1800 miles so far. I love the car and sold my '93 Vette (w/ only 12K on it! to a collector in Toronto) in order to buy this pony.

Just had my first upgrade done. I know... I know. Upgrading a 500Hp pony. What can I say?

Anyway, I added Steeda's GT500 Induction Pak, which consists of a 114mm MAF CAI, new inlet elbow, and an SCT Steeda Custom Tune. The results are as follows:

Stock Flywheel: 500Hp/ 480Ft/Lbs Torque
Stock RWHP: 418Hp/ 440Ft/Lbs Torque
Modified RWHP*: 498Hp/ 510Ft/Lbs Torque (*SAE Corrected at roughly 145 mph in 4th gear!)

The Steeda CAI Mods gave the car major hops in the midrange area, a noticeable difference.

Where's home for you? I'm having trouble finding owners in my neck of the woods, that is, Upstate NY.

I hate the GT500 :-) I was totally satisfied with my GT until today. I got the chance to ride in the GT500 (not even driving, just a passenger) and now my GT is not good enough. Thanks for ruining a good thing!

Actual upstate or NYC envisioned upstate? I'm from Rouses Point originally, now that is upstate!

Thx for the welcome, guys & gals! Nice to among so many people similarly addicted.

Lots of great Stangs here. Love the pics. I have Grabber Orange envy!

Also, quick update on the performance mods (i.e., Steeda Induction Kit w/ Tune)... Perhaps most impressive in these days of $4.00+++ petrol, I've picked up about 2.0 - 2.5 MPGs. Yes, it's true.

By the way, Upstate NY is the Albany area, so yes, NYC's view of "Upstate".
