I called doug but he's not in for another hour. hoping maybe someone has a simple solution. i followed the directions exactly, it uploaded the ECM, erased the stuff from the car, downloaded the program. i hit select (ok), then turned the key off like it asked and hit select again, then unplugged the SCT.... turned the key on, turned it off (just to make sure everything was ok), turned it on, tried to start and got nothing. tried key on key off several more times and still nothing - it just cranks and cranks and cranks.
HELP!!!
*edit* and btw, my Bombz Racing CAI (ebay knockoff of a K&N typhoon) seems to have 10x the quality in it in regards to fit and finish compared to the new JLT intake i just installed. i'll take pics later if anyone is interested - but the generic CAI had a better MAF mounting point, the heat shield was a much better fit, it attached in multiple places for a more solid feel, and even the intake tube had a mounting bracket to make sure everything stayed where it should be.

Try reloading the original factory tune and see if it starts. If it does, try loading Doug's tune back in and give it another try. If it doesn't start after that, then there is an issue with the tune. By the time you get to that point, Doug should be in and able to help you.
I actually had a similiar problem once with mine. What I did was go back to stock and then I reinstalled the tunes on my X3 and reinstalled in the car and everything worked fine.
yes i gave him the right code, 4 digits on the side of the puter on a real small sticker
Are you sure the code sticker actually matches the one thats in the PCM. Some PCMs have been reflashed by dealers and the 4 digit code no longer applies. Have you been to the dealership lately for any reason? They might have reflashed it unknown to you.
if you took your car to the dealer they likely reflashed your computer and you have a new strategy code.
thus, when you provide the one on the sticker to doug that one is outdated. you'll have to provide doug with the new strategy code and he'll send you a new tune.
Yea my car has been reflashed by the dealer, but when I JUST checked the strategy code this morning I came up with the FBLF152 which matches the sticker on the computer that I gave Doug when I ordered the tunes.
This is what makes no sense to me. I just tried the 89 Torque tune and still I get nothing.
Why does Ford have different codes anyways? Grrrrrrrrr
just talked to Doug, turns out my car WAS updated like that chart shows - when i checked my strategy code i had dougs tune loaded which is why it looked like it was the right one.
