lol i saw that movie for the first time yesterday and thought the quote was good, i dont pray but i think the quote is true to some extent

If Darth Vader asked Obi Wan to join him so that together they could convert Gandalf to the darkside, all while secretly kidnapping Snow White and brainwashing her so that shed lead an army of Ewoks into Mordor so that they could activite Halo and free Master Chief from carbonite so that he could fight the Easter Bunny for rights to the Toothfairy's teeth treasure.... Would that make any more sense than any kinda religious babble?

It's one of the best quotes I've heard yet. Think about it, how often have you prayed and what you want just came out of the blue? It happens, Lord knows it hapens to me sometimes, but not often. I think that quote is a great way to look at the relationship between God and his children.

I see what you are saying in a way but how can you assume you know they are praying about what they are about to do?
Perhaps they are simply thanking God for the opportunities or the gifts God has given them?
Im sure there are plenty of people that do like you said just for the shot or whatever.
Personally I do have my doubts about that myself (the person giving thanks etc.), but now that I really think about it you don't know what they are praying about.
Just a thought... I guess what I am saying is we can't read what everyone is saying to God.
