Is it possable to fit 325/50's in the rear of a lx coupe mustang. If so what size rim 15x10 or 15x8? Will this work with just rolling the fenders alittle messaging? What would need to be changed to the suspension to fit the bigger tires if not (tubs ext...)
Thanks

Well i have a body guy that could do some tubs for me when i do the 8pnt rollcage. But whats all involved in the minitub? Do they sell kits with everything for relocating the shocks, ext... i would like to just buy a kit, bring it all to my body guy and have him install it.

edit: with tubs whats about the widest you can run with street slicks

That would depend on how deep your tubs go now wouldn't it.

I would suggest not going the mini tubing route. June 2008 5.0mustang magazine shows how to fit 315s under the rear of a fox with some massaging. May want to research though because of different backspacing. Ton of people runs quick times with 275s

he said he is putting an 8 point cage in, wouldn't it be hard to put mini tubs in later down the road with the cage already welded in?

im not sure about 315s...
someone said that july 2008 5.0 magazine has article on it. might want to pick that up and check it out. I am about to put a roll cage in myself, and am debating whether to just mini tub it or not

for sure! just do both then! best time to do it would be when they are installing the roll cage anyway

Yeah well if i could fit 325/60s or even something just a tad smaller without tubbing that would be great. I was looking to run something like this.

Those are MT R15/325/60S. Im guessing this car is tubbed to fit that size?

In one of the mustang mags they tucked a 315 on a 17x10" Chrome Pony R rim under a 88 coupe. They had to bang the back half (From the rear end back) of the inner fender well. They rolled the fender, and it fit just fine. Check out the article, Its really in depth. BTW for a fox you need 6.25-6.5" Back spacing for a 315 to fit!

Nik!

yeah and thats the reason i havent bought rims or tires yet because i want to get the backspacing and rim with correct first to fit the max about of rubber. So should i go for a 315 and try it? or do you think it will work? I will probably take the car to my body guy and have him beat the inner fenders with tools and fit them for me. Would it be ok to go with a 15x10 with 6"bs or does 17 make a change? Would 315/50s or 315/60s fit?
