Dont know if anyone could help me out around the San Diego area but Im really rallying for some of my saleen brothers and sisters to help if you can. I was scammed on a saleen hood out in chula vista, ca from someone named victor corona. Who knows if this guy is even his real name. All I know is i paid 1020 dollars thru a money order and never received it. It was sent to 15 E J street in chulva vista. I just took it as the hood was gone and I got scammed well now the same guy has resurfaced. http://sandiego.craigslist.org/csd/pts/675689440.htmlI called the owner at the same number as before and he acted like it wasnt him and he was acting all pissed that some guy was using his id. Well his phone number goes to him so I got thinking of why someone would give the phone number and say its a rip off to try to pry some more money. I was curious if maybe someone could call him asking about the hood to see if he acts different and tries to take your money. Also if anyone calls could you ask about swinging by and viewing the hood so you could get the address even though I doubt anyone would go look at the hood in person. Any help would help dramatically thanks again everyone for everything.

thanks to everyone for helping me out to the OP im sorry i couldnt be of more help. Upon two people calling him stating that the hood was sold a long time ago i will not be going down to chula vista unless i can truly see a reason fit. I was going down there with my buddy who is a sheriff's deputy but i still just dont feel safe going down there. Feel like im gonna get jumped at this point.

what's his address bc I'm going to the FBI again and also going to call the local police there bc I would love to get back my 1000 dollars

insane, recontact ebay an alert them to the fraud, as well as you local police,attorney gen, hope it all works out for you ,

im afraid what i would do if i sent that kind of money and someone scamd me, id be on the news , i despise these online scam artists etc

You should be able to contact some of his previous buyers and get an address.

If not, have your local FBI agent contact ebay directly and find out all his personal info. Ebay makes out like they can't divulge info- but the truth is they have no choice in the matter. Legally, or otherwise. When pushed, they will help resolve a problem, especially when it involves a fair amount of money.

Not to get in the told ya so mode- but this is why you NEVER, EVER pay with a M.O. or cash..hell-even a personal check. People complain about PAYPAL, but I have never had an issue with it. Matter of fact, I bought an item off ebay for 2300.00, paid with PAYPAL..and never got my item. I waited, sent emails, called the guy...Nothing.

Contacted ebay and PAYPAL, and 1 week later they froze the guys checking account that was linked to his PAYPAL account. Turns out he had to pay suppliers out of his account, and the money was frozen. PAYPAL made him send me my item, overnight, at his cost, and then had me sign a paper saying I recieved the right item, undamaged BEFORE they would release his money. He was freaking out..emailing me, calling me. The same guy I couldn't get a hold of was suddenly everywhere to be found.

Yeah I will never pay thru a money order again, but I do love paypal in that sense. The only thing good I have going good for me is since I did money order thru the post office, I have a written copy of his signature and a to receive the money he has to have an id which is loaded into the system so hopefully it will help the fbi track him down. Plus I sent it thru the mal which now it makes it a mail fraud as well and the government does not sit well with that.

Wow are you sure thats the same exact hood thats on ebay?? Because it looks like hes sold quite a few things on ebay with no problems. I was actuallly thnking of buying something else from him, but now Im a little nervous.

If the hood "accidentally" went to the wrong address......maybe they're working together [:o][:o](...could get twice as much money for each item you sell if "accidentally" went to a friend and they re-sold it)

are you sure thats the same guy on ebay??? His previous ebay name was Nancyshotbox, i know this because bought a few saleen parts from him/her in the past. Legit seller. Only thing is i have no effing clue how he has so many Saleen parts, expecially i notice the seller always have tons of Saleens seats, which i think they are making fakes of and selling off as real. I get this feeling because they are also replicating the Saleen CF extreme lips.(they told me they were gonna sell me the real one after they finish copying it).

So overall, i think the seller we are referring to on ebay is legit, but probably replicates fake Saleen parts, such as hoods, seats, etc.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. I mean how could the guy already have front and rear seats from an 08 Saleen, and always seems to have them? (I should count how many seats the guy has sold) I suppose someone could have wrecked an 08, but pretty unlikely. Whatever the case may be, I was thinking that the front seats look pretty nice, but who knows what they would be really like when you got them. I think Ill stick with my 05's. I think the only difference that I can find is the headrest and the white parts.

It seems like there has been quite a bit of unusual items on ebay lately. Lots of front and rear bumper covers I've noticed, which like you said, there must be someone making clones. As for the guy who got ripped on the hood, keep us informed on the outcome please. And sorry to hear that happened.

That hood has been listed A couple of times on craigslist ... heck i remember seeing it when i first bought my car over a year ago...
he also has had the saleen 14' brakes and speedster cover for the 05+ cars

the guy on craigslist was trying to sell me everything including the kitchen sink and then disappeared. Had Saleen HID and such for 240 hoods for 450,saleen suspensions for 300, saleen front end bras.

That Ebay seller ID Nancy's Hotbox did some funny business with me. I would never bid oi anything he sells. I was going to report him to Ebay but forgot. IMO, stay away.

just wondering, what funny business did he/she do? I would like to know of the negatives about the seller. Although they are REALLY slow at shipping, thats all i can recall when i bought from them.

You are wasting your time going to the local cops. Do a search online for mail order fraud...it will tell you who to contact, and what steps you need to take to recover your money and/or prosecute people and businesses who take your money and not deliver the goods.

I was unaware of this post, last Sat I called the guy from the craigslist post and set up a time to come by and check out the hood. He seemed a little sketchy over the phone and when I called the day I was supposed to stop by he told me the hood was sold. I wish I would have known all this before I talked to him, I would have tried to get more info for you!
