Alright so i gotta blow off some steam...cause this is a crazy story.
I went to my local dealership today and sat down with a salesman to talk about trading my Saleen in on a 2008 GT-500. The car is red with silver stripes FYI. Anywaysss....the car is priced at $68,000...a $20,000 mark-up...or as they like to call it *local market-value adjustment* So after we got done running the number...they told me they wanted my car...plus $39,995 dollars....HA-HA-HA...I laughed at them and called them crazy. The sticker on the car was $47,000 and some change...tell me this is not rediculous...or am I the one who is out of their mind. [&:]

Your Saleen looks awesome and unlike 99.9999999% of the cars on the road. If you value exclusivity, what price can you put on that? A quick story on that point:
Two weeks ago I pull up to the valet of a ludicriously expensive hotel in Beverly Hills to pick up a friend friend/client. As I'm waiting, the valet comes over and starts raving about the car, asking questions, etc. He literally stands next to me for about 5 minutes just grilling me about the Saleen. I finally mention that he must see dozens of $200k+ cars a DAY in his job. His response was absolutely priceless: "Yeah, but after a while, the Bentley GTs all look the same. I've never seen one of these, and this thing is just beautiful."

I cannot even count how many conversations I have been in about the car or even how many pictures have been taken. Just yesterday I went to get gas, and I seen the attendant snap a pic with his phone.
However, I am on a GT500 kick myself. Just to have that engine means a TON to me. I di not think it really that nice looking compared to a standart GT though. As far as looks, there is no comparison. I would expect to rarely get comments on the GT500, but man is that powertrain appealing. I mean we cannot pass 500HP and feel safe, they can go so much further it is sick..
Therefore I am another Saleen owner on the fence....
I get comments EVERY TIME I drive it. Mine looks mean as ****. It so low to the ground and the front end with the splitter is all business. People really take notice. (This is just mine folks, some of these look like ass, believe me)
I know of a Vapor with stripe delete not 40 mins from here. Also, my dealer will order you one at or below MSRP. So if you figure out its what you want, and you want to see NC, I'll try to help you get a Trade in value on yours from the dealer so you can do the thing all at once then we can go to Wilmington and drink beer and meet a lot of interesting 21 yo babydolls....(unless you're gay in which case I don't care what you do after you buy the car b/c I'll be in Wilmington)
