Newbie here. Just caught the mod bug and installed my C&L and 87 perf tune from doug.
I did have a question with the tune: did anyone have a problem with their traction control after the tune was installed? Is this just a byproduct of the tune that it turns off the TC? How can this be re-engaged?
Any help/insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

what!? and tie a leash back onto your wild and free horsie? let er ride!.....lol, jk. idk the answer to your question. my stang never had the TC option anyways.
It's right in a tune by default "TC" is disabled and you can't turn it on (error message on your dashboard)
but ask Doug to have this tune with the "TC" on, like stock....
Why would you want the T/C back on? That thing sucks bad and, I turn it off everytimeI get in the car. You do understand, It' not like a limited slip setup. It applies braking to the spinning wheel. Its part of the ABS system and It SUCKS! I wish my car didn't have it and I cant wait for a tune so I can stop pressing that stupid button everytime I get into the car. I even have my son trained to turn it off for me if I forget (he lives to catch me on that so he can say something like "I powned you ya noob" .......I dont know what that means, but i think It's a bad thing)

My tunes came from Doug as well, and with my tunes, the T/C is always ((ON)) at start up. I can disable it permanantly with my XCAL 3 tuner, or just push the dash button to turn it off, but I like to experience the weather conditions before I drive with it off.
What model tuner do you have? Diablo? XCal 2 or 3? I have no experience with other model tuners other thatn the XCAL3....
You SHOULD be able to enable your TCS permanately with your tuner and not harm anything.
I would call Doug @ BAMA and see if you can SAFELY enable TCS with your tuner/dash button without harming anything.
My guess would be YES, you can enable traction controll with no problems with your tuner, and use the dash button to dissable it when you want to.

That's why I am looking to at least have the option to turn it on or off. I live in the northeast, it is my DD and when the winter comes around, the TC is actually nice to have sometime. I usually do turn the TC off when I get in the car, but now the button doesn't even work - it is just permanently off....wouldn't mind that if I lived in Southern Cal or Myrtle Beach

My tunes fromVMP allows use of the traction control button just like stock. Bama should be able to do the same with his tunes. Always nice to have this option in bad weather here in the northeast no matter what some kids think.
