Default gears opinions

okay guys, after reading the sticky and finally having some money to get the gears, i am confused. for all the people who have gears please tell me what you think of them. i dont want the wel you have a manual get 373's crap, just your personal opinion on your car. i have seen where ppl with 373 wanted to up to 410's and then again ppl with 373's were happy with them. i drive to the beach a few times a year ( 6 hours) but will be living close to work next semester so gas isnt an issue, besides one guy here said he gained mpg due to being in 5th gear more. but if you have gears installed please tell me if you are pleased about youre dicision.

i have 98 mustang 5spd

If you dont care about gas then get 4.56's!

There was a NA 4V shootout in MM&FF a while back and almost all of them had 4.56's, there were guys with common bolt ons and those gears passing into the 11 second zone. The winner was Al of Boss330 Racing with his 5.5L stroker, but we all cant afford a Ford GT 5.4L aluminum block He could have gone deep into the 9 second zone on slicks. He only got 1 pass in because of a mysterious ticking in the valvetrain. The runners up were running stock bottom ends with ported heads, FR500 .472" lift cams and bolt ons and a couple were in the 10's with 4.56 gears.
