Default sway bar hardware?

Anyone just use good grade 8,fine thread bolts and lock nuts to install take off sway bars instead of paying the stealership $40-$50 for OEM hardware? Just wondering.

i'm trying to find the mounting hardware online at this moment. i just picked up some gt sways yesterday and NEED to install them[8D]. not sure if other bolts would work. i'm sure the material grade of the bolts need to be specific. not 100% sure though.

try tituswillfordparts.com... fair prices. I think I ended up paying around $30 for the hardware with shipping. nice to know I have genuine ford parts in there... even though I'll be swapping out the gt takeoff for a helwig in the near future (come on stimulus check).

thanks rowdy. i found em now.

just bought the brackets from ford. $40 for both. i held off from the bolts in case i can find them cheaper locally. they were basically asking msrp for the bolts/nuts which came out to a little over $40.

I remember when I bought all the bolts , etc... from tituswills(fordparts), their cost including shipping was 1/2 of what our dealer wanted! And for future info, check around the different Ford dealers. I have called various dealers for things and never got the same price twice! I don't know how some of them can sleep at night, knowing darn well they are ripping people off!
