Is it worth selling my N64 / Gamecube in order to get a wii? I am a big smash brothers fan on both n64 and gamecube, and after seeing smash bros brawl, it looks incredible. GTA 4 does look awesome and has gotten 10's across the board, but it seems in general that the wii would be more fun.

What does wii got going for it?
My list so far is:
I can sell my GC and N64, then buy the games on the wii anyways.
Super Mario Galaxy & Smash Bros Brawl
It's fairly cheap and does not give red circles of death

PS3 is out of the question because PS3 is gay.

So what are some other good reasons to buy a wii

Mario Kart Wii is great! Probably my favorite one since the original. Plus there is online play and it is free to do so.

my dad has a wii and everyone loves it. we have wii sports, tiger woods 08, guitar hero 3, and a couple of other little stupid games. tiger woods is by far the best game that i have played so far, the graphics are very good, and the gameplay is just unreal. i would definatley buy a Wii for my place if i had the cash laying around.

Wii's are really fun. Its a great console if you have drunk people over a lot. Im not a big fan of the new mario kart, but Brawl is awsome and so is Wii sports

Super Mario Galaxy is kickass, and Mario Kart is pretty fun too.

The graphics are great for any game you play and I really suggest looking into one.

Had one for a little while ... my daughter loved it!

It got to a point where the only time it was played was when and IF my daughter ever came over to visit. (She's now 13, and dad's just not as cool as he used to be)

We played the Wii Sports Bowling religiously!

So I just gave it to her to have at her mother's house.

Guess I moved up her "cool" scale after I got the Stang though ... hahahaha

Wii=Rocks

I bought one for my kids for Christmas, and I play with it more than they do. Mario kart is cool, and Smash Brothers is even better. I can't say anything bad about the Wii. Of course the graphics aren't as good as Sony or XBox, but it is truly one of a kind machine.

hmm, it does seem like a blast. too bad that video games are freakin $50 apiece now. hard to justify... i wish i could hook it up to my computer monitor then i wouldnt need to bring a god damn tv

uhhh...why does the PS3 suck?

well, maybe the ps3 isnt that bad, but it seems its seriously lacking in the games department. it definitely sucked when it was $600 though.

i get bored of games too easily nowadays, so I need something for my ADD. thats why i just like the fun ones, not the engrossing story ones like i used to. maybe the old zeldas though, since those dont take long

The WII is a gigantic spoonful of fun:) I thought it sucked when I just had the console and the included games with it. It wasn't until I got Mario Galaxy and Mario Cart WII did I realize just how much fun that little bugger is! Keep your N64 and GC and go get the WII because I'd be willing to bet your N64 and Golden Eye will sell for quite a bit of money further down the road.

i have others but they suck. the above are reason enough to get the system. u wont regret it

and yes, i completely agree with the above statement about being great for drunk people. my roommate used to host a wii bowling tournament in a bar downtown here, every monday night. the tunrout was unreal.... just people packed to the walls. there was an 80" projection screen that came down behind the bar, and we played right in the middle of it.

The Wii is freaking awesome, mario kart rocks, super mario galaxy very fun, No More Heroes is great! It is my favorite system out right now and perhaps ever way worth the purchase, and Super Smash Bros is the best!
