Default A/C Removal Question

Hello I was thinking of removing my A/C system this weekend and wondered if I could jut remeasure the belt length without the A/C pulley and buyshorter belt. Im fully capable of removing it but I’m not shur if I can just buy a shorter belt our not.Thanks for any help.

You'll want the A/C delete pulley from Ford. I forget the part number off the top of my head though.
Then you use the stock belt. I'll see if I can find a pic of my set up for you.

just out of curioisty, why do you wanna delete your a/c? if you do all that, you should remove all of your a/c components as well...youlkl save a LOT of weight that way.

I gutted out all the stuff from my A/C system.Probably 30 lbs of crap between the compressor, lines, heat exchanger in the front and all the misc junk that is with it.

I am going to remove all my a/c components as well i was just wondering if i could by a shorter belt our if i had to buy the A/C delete pulley from Ford. So if i do remove my A/C i have to buy the A/C delete pulley i just cant put a smaller belt on? I just want to make shur im understanding every thing. Thanks for the help.

Yeah, there is no way to just run a shorter belt without doing some major work and fabricating some custom pulley mounts.

Are you removing it for less parasitic loss? If so don't waste your time as when you don't have the AC on the pulley spins freely.
