Returning from lunch with a few buddies of mine, I noticed a Ron Fellows Z06 a couple of cars up the road. I speed up and drove behind the guy for a little while. A couple of minutes later I pulled up next to him at a light. We both gave eachother "the wave". I rolled down my window and complemented him and he did the same. He kept looking around nervously so I knew he was going try something...

Light goes green, he nailed about 1/2 a second before I did . Through first dead heat, 2nd I got a car and put another car 1/2 on him in the middle of third. I let off because I was going way to fast to be on the streets. I noticed that I was pulling harder on him as the speeds got higher....
He drove by and gave me thumbs up and I returned it. Then he mashed out again...
I turned my radio back on and drove home with a big grin.

Lucky bastard.. lol I don't think I've ever seen a Ron Fellow's Z06 on the streets, let alone had the chance to run one.. Only Z's I see on the streets are the Ligenfelter's and OCCASIONALLY a Calloway, and those are pretty rare. Still, nice laying of the smack down broham.

RF Edition = Z06 with an ugly appearance package.  I am not a fan of white.

Not a fn of white here either but with their"Collector status" it's rare to see one on the street.I've only seen them in showrooms.

Very interesting.  Do they have a special 428 edition that is red with a few white vinyls?

Good race Rog, I bet that guy was about to crap his pants.....

Ron Fellows also signs the inside of the center console.  Biggest waste of money I have ever seen.  They were only $5k or more on the sticker, but dealers were tacking on another $15-$20k.  Unless you are a serious collector, this car was a waste of money.  No performance upgrades at all.   And if you have to have a white Z06, just get it painted - far cheaper.

Who is this Ron Fellows fellow and why are people paying thousands of dollars to have a car signed by him? Is he a pretty big deal, like Ron Burgundy?

He is the guy with the Corvette C5.R, remember that car?  He also started financing Corvette Racing in 1998.

He was also involved in the development of the Cadillac LMP Program.  He was 31 seconds behind the winning Dodge Viper GTS-R .  Mkaing sense now?

They should have at least bumped the power on those things. I don't care about some guy signing the inside of my car. The white paint with the red stripes is a nice touch but it is too easily duplicatable..

Here is a pic of one...

I must say, the Vettes interior has come a long way...
