I'm about to install a procharger ps1c on my GT and was just curious if these would change anything since I'm going to be forcing more air thorugh the intake manifold anyways. Do the little "butterflies" really make a difference when it comes to air flow from a F/I application?

from all that I have read value that the charge plates give you is to tumble (charge) the air at low rpms/airflow. They open up as rpms and airflow increase. Since you are going to be boosting it seems counter-intuitive (at least to me anyway) to keep them. I mean, the idea of a SC is to force more air into the engine and the butterflies, just by their presence, will restrict airflow. then again, "I am not a smart man, Jenny..."
Keeping them will cause your hp #'s to flatline, as I speak from experience because mine flatlines at about 5200rpm. Removing them, however, will cause you to loose some low end torque. Being that you're going F/I i would suggest removing them. Look into the Steeda billet plates. They'redrilled .070 over stock which should help you get some better #'s from that procharger.
No it won't lose you any torque. I know from experience. Loss of low end power, part throttle power, and loss of mileage is all from a tuner not taking their time doing the tune. I've got them on my car and I didn't lose any part throttle power, torque, or mileage.

The delete plates will help you out overall and will not make you loose low end torque with the procharger.Just as Thumper stated it is the tuner that made that happen.
