also a straight to 8 beats triple queens? I have to disagree with this. I get a straight all the time compared to triple anything.

read the rules, dude. straights always beat 3 of a kind of any kind. a2345 beats 3 aces. :eek:

and no, you don't get straights more often than three of a kind if you've played enough hands.

I seem to get a straight more often and i know the rules i just don't like that one.

the hand rankings are based on the mathematical odds of getting them in your hand of five cards... so if you had a large enough sample size, you would not have 3 of a kind mroe often than a straight.

myspace texas hold'em I have a good rank and can make about $400 a night.

The straight should win because if you miss your straight, you usually got nothing. On the other hand, I feel you, because I'm just wondering what the hell the other guy is doing still in the hand when you're showing at least a pair of queens, and they don't have any overcards.

i like to play holdem at the casino alot more fun than myspace/facebook poker, last time i was there i walked with negative 20 bucks but the time before i came up 120 bucks

I play pretty regularly. I used to have a weekly game at the house before I sold it, and I play atleast once or twice a month on saturday afternoon bounty tournaments at the local casino. I usually win one tourney at the casino a month.. never big payout ones, usually 400-600 range. The big tourney's are all on weeknights and I never get a chance to make it to those.

i like playing texas holdem, used to play alot more now just a couple of times a month. its an awesome game though i still am yet to get to the casino though (underage)
