Default exhaust air supply tube gasket

Hi!

I have a 1989 mustang 5.0 . I think what i'm looking for is called like that : exhaust air supply tube ... The pipe connected on each head on the back of the engine .....

Is there a lot pf pressure on this pipe? personally I don't think so ... only one screw hold it , but I prefer to ask here . The question is : Could I use RTV to seal it? I'm rebuilding my engine... bought the gasket set .. I lost one

thanks

franck

You mean removing the tube and put a srew to plug the hole? What this tube is for? Like I said .... if it's less trouble , i'll put a little bit of atv to seal the join and I'll leave the tube there ... Could I see a difference with and without the tube?

thanks

you could always just get some gasket material and make your own gasket. i wouldnt think gasket sealer would hold you could wind up with one hell of an exhaust leak. you could plug the holes like hack said, the threads are there believe me youll just have to clean em up.

its for emissions purposes. if you have emissions testing and inspections then leave it. you wont see a gain with it or without it. it basically connects to the air pump mounted on the lower passenger side of the motor.
