Default hood pin opinion- which pins?

Fellow Mustang-ers,
I seek your opinions on some hood pins. Specifically, the pin part.

If you look at the FRPP kit, the pit itself is straight and doesn't seem to 'attach' to the vertical post at all. This makes me think they'd tend to slide out fairly easily.

On the Moroso kit, the pin is wavey and holds onto the vertical post.

I was wondering what you all thought.

I've already bought the FRPP kit, but it wouldn't be that hard to swap the pins. And I do plan on keeping the stock locking mechanism with my fiberglass hood. But since I want the laynards on there,I'd think it would look kinda stupid to have the pins keep falling out and making themselves useless.

Thoughts, comments?

Default RE: hood pin opinion- which pins?

on the straight pins, the circle part goes over the post preventing the pin from sliding out

you wont be happy with the moroso pins. especially if you take the car to a shop. most people tend to pull them out fast and scratch your paint.

Wavy pins (Mr. Gasket). On my car the two pins at the front of the car go from outside(closed end)to inside(open end)See photobelow. The two rear pins I've had to face the opposite way or else the car always shakes out the rear passenger side pin???
