A 4.56 is about 26% steeper than a 4.10. I vote to do it and wish I could do it. Have you looked into getting a new carrier? I think 4.30 is the steepest that will fit in a stock carrier. 99 cobra vert 05-15-2008, 09:01 PM i was thinking of putting 410s and rebuild my t45 with after market parts and runing 295 first gear to get out of the hole better my car seems to like the high rmps better it flys when it hits the power band so i was trying to get the power band quicker any info helpful jlg32281 05-15-2008, 09:05 PM A gear will do just that. It will get you to the power band much quicker than stock. Stock gears are stupid, I still don't know why Ford put such a weak gear in these things.
