On June 6, 2007, Saleen was appointed CEO of ZX Automobile Company of North America (ZXNA), a subsidiary of CHAMCO. On March 13 2008 Steve Saleen announced the formation of “SMS Limited”, Lifestyle Performance Automobiles, the most recent brand in the portfolio of companies he has founded. In the years of building each of his many brands, Saleen oversaw and participated in every aspect of the business, product development, sales and marketing. His latest endeavor will focus on the expansion into the high-end of the diverse American Muscle Car and Global Supercar markets.

Does anyone have a good guess as to why they chose to modify the 5.7 liter instead of the SRT8?  Are the SRT8's not good at handling boost or something?  Anyways those really are some impressive numbers.  Makes me wonder why I havn't seen any 500+ hp Hemi Chargers

I'm guessing that being the mid-level Challenger only comes with the 5.7 it will be more cost effective in purchasing the cars from Dodge before the conversion.

Roush does the same thing with the Mustangs, buying the cheap Deluxe models with just a couple of options because they're just going to gut most of it anyways.

Not a big fan of the Rims or the Decals. But if it was all black with some normal chrome rims, I think it would look great. My point wasn't to prove how nice it looked anyway, just that there are HEMI's pushing well over 500 HP.
