You knew I needed MFs didn't you... you sly bastard. How long does the sale last? I'm supposed to be paid tomorrow but judging by my boss being out of town I probably won't end up getting my money until next week.[:@]

Well expect me to get some MFs from ya then!

If you don't mind, what's the difference in all your MFs? Obviously you have the cheap ones, but the two better ones, what's the difference in them?

The Ultra Premium and Super Fly are my top selling towels. These are great for buffing off product or drying. They are both pretty thick and plush, the Ultra is 16x16 and the Super Fly is 16x24.

My drying towels are also very high quality, the Amazing Dryer is a thick microfiber towel that is a large 25x36, the Monster is the same size but the waffle weave design. Some people like the waffle weaves for drying and some don't.

I guarantee that you will be happy with any of my high quality towels!

I love my waffle weave from you. ;) I'm constantly amazed how much it can absorb. I can dry an entire car with just the one waffle weave. :)

The Ultra premiums are one of the best towels on the market. I own several towels by several
different retailers and these are my towel of choice. They are quite simply a great towel. Long
nap on one side, short nap on the other. They're nice n plush. They clean up good and hold up
as well. I've got towels i've washed 10 times and you cant tell much difference from the first
time they were washed.

I've gotta get one of those WW!

I just ordered some light polish and wet glaze. Going to try to detail my car. I'll top those 2 off with the products I already have....Wet Wax and Opti Seal. Should look pretty good on my dark candy apple red 08' stang.

I wantto try theWet Obsession wax, but I am afraid that I will not get the results that I want since my car is oxford white. Kinda hard to imagine a "6 foot deep" shine on a white car, LOL.

Well that is true. It might not look like a 6ft deep shine but it will look good. I've seen a 93 GT online, i believe it was here that was white and it was just a beautiful car. There wasnt anything special about it but it was so clean and was just a damn good looking car. I'll look for it and see if i can find it.

White is a tough color to get any sort of depth out. I recently did a white truck and I hand applied ObsessiveDetail Glaze followed with Wet Obsession on the front door and then machine polished the crew cab door and applied the Glaze & Wet Obsession and I was really impressed with the difference in depth the PC & the high quality products did for white.

I don't think I've ever seen a white in person that had any sort of depth to it. The only good qualities I've seen from it is it's ability to hide scratches & swirls and how soaking WET the paint can look when taken care of.

Unfortunately you need to use really nice expensive wax to get a whole lot out of White. I'd be up for the challenge with my Jet Seal and Double Wax.:D

Alright, placed an order for a few MFs! Thanks for the sale Justin!

Edit: I got some of the Ultra Premiums because they are $3.35 like my car. :D

The Wet Obsession does add some nice depth to lighter colored vehicles. I've had a lot of customers with lighter colored cars that have been really impressed by it. Here is a guy on a another forum that I sponsor that used it on his white Roush and he posted some pictures of it.....http://www.fnsweet.com/forums/showthread.php?t=44091

So in order to "do it right" on a white car, would I need the glaze and Wet Obsession? Anything else?

Thanks.

I would recommend doing a 3 step to get the best results. OD Light Polish, Wet Glaze, and then Wet Obsession. The polish is going to correct light swirls and scratches, bring out more shine and reflection, plus prep the paint for the next steps. The glaze is going to add a lot of wetness and depth, it will also add even more slickness. Last top with the Wet Obsession wax.

Don't forget to clay too. Who knows what kind of crap that paint has collected.

Just got my shipping notification. :) Thanks Justin!

How big is the discount on the OD stuff? I put in an order last night for some, along with a PC kit and I'm wondering if the sale price or the 10% forums discount is a better bet (sorry I'm afool and forgot to put in the 'mustang forum' code)

Justin, just placed an order for the backing plate, 2 pads and Optimum Polish. Do you think I'd do better with the compound since I already have your Light Polish?

Can't wait to find a PC on sale somewhere.. though I'm tempted to get this one on ebay for $96 -- new. Just no pads / backing plate.

I would just use the Compund and the finish off with the OD Light Polish, I can just switch those out for you if you like. I also would recommend using the white polishing pad with the Light Polish to finish off.

Yes, please switch to the compound and ship me the white pad instead of the gray. The PC is borrowed and I will be giving the plate and pads to the owner when I'm done.

I love to wax by hand anyway.:)

As a member here you get $10 off the PC kits from my site. You also get the backing plate and pads needed to get started. I also have kits with everything mentioned plus the polishes/swirl removers in them. It is actually cheaper to get everything as a kit once you figure in shipping getting everything from separate places.

I would call myself a middle of the road detailer. I don't get as crazy with it as some do around here, but I like to do more than the average car owner. I want to try some of these OD products. This is what I was thinking.

Wash
Clay
Polish - Maybe that OD Light Polish by hand
sealant - OD Hyper shine Sealant
maybe a wax - Will my Meguires #26 be alright to finish off

Does this look alright for a middle of the road detail? Suggestions?

Also, will the Waffle Weave towel be enough to dry the entire car?
Which towels do you guys suggest for taking off the polish, wax and sealant?

Juztang
05-19-2008, 04:34 PM
The order and list of products that you mentioned will be a great combo.

The Monster waffle weave that I carry is a huge towel, it is enough to dry a whole car. I prefer to use the Ultra Premium or Super Fly towels to remove polishes, waxes, and sealants, you can also use these to dry with too. The Plush towels are great for interior work.

OK, thanks. I will probably make an order tomorrow.

What is the wait time after I apply the light polish? Can I do the sealant right after the polish and then finish off with a wax right after the sealant?

Thanks!

Juztang
05-19-2008, 05:51 PM
You can go right from the polish to the sealant without waiting. You can put the wax over the sealant right away if you want also. You will get better durability if you wait to put the wax on after the sealant cures for 24 hours.

How can I get the 10% on my next order?

Juztang
05-20-2008, 09:42 AM
Usually I just give the 10% on items that aren't on sale. I just have members put mustang forums in the comment box when they checkout, then I refund the 10% back to them. Sometimes if the refund isn't worth sending back I just throw in some freebies!
