I did this recently for my 2000 GT, and I think it's the same set of steps.  If not, hopefully it's close enough to help you out.

I had to take out the weatherstripping along the roof and that exposes about 4-6 screws that attach the roof rail moulding.  On my 2000, I had to take out the weatherstrip running to get access to these.  Once you have that stuff off you are good to go.
