Default gt40 upper/lower intake?

ok so my dads friend says the gt40 upper intake is restricted but every1 is tellin me to use the upper and lower intake. Im guna be using the edelbrock aluminum heads. Just curious on how my stock upper and lower intake would work with these heads.Just wana use whats guna work better.

which edelbrock heads?? performer or rpm and what valve size and what cam in the car?? more info please...ie....mods??.....the gt-40 although old tech still can produce decent numbers as seen in a recent test in MM&FF MAG ON NUMEROUS DIFFERENT INTAKES
