Has anybody else recently ordered one of these superchargers, and not have it delivered yet? I ordered it through the shop that I am having install it, they told me that they called the order in on Monday April 28th. Tomorrow will be seventeen days since the order was placed into Kenne Bell, do they usually take this long to ship these units out to consumers?! I paid the shop that I ordered through in cash, which I thought would speed things up a little bit!?
I wouldn't worry about it unless you ordered it through a shady shop. KB isn't gonna stiff you a blower. If you are really concerned, then have the shop call KB or call them yourself. kennebell.net
It took me close to a month to get my P1SC kit. A twin screw blower is not something you want to have rush delivered to your door. It's going to be spinning really high RPM's with very, very small clearances and almost no tolerance. Just be patient and wait a little bit. It's going to be worth it.

guy around here it took almost 6 weeks to get his procharger in (it was near christmas time too btw). and when it got here they had sent him a satin one instead of a polished like he ordered, so he had to send it back and wait some more.
17 days isnt anything to be worried about. like said you can call KB and ask them if they have any projected shipping dates. but i wouldnt worry about getting screwed except by the KB (pun)

Thanks for the replies, and I did get a call from the shop today. The shop told me that it should be in next week sometime, and they needed a four digit code off my ECM to program the chip at kenne bell. I gave the shop the number after pulling the pax side kick panle out, so they could call KB to burn the correct chip. I am getting the intercooled/polished kit, which comes with a 9psi. pully. The shop is going to order the 11psi pully for me, and probably do a custom tune in the end as well. I am getting very anxious about recieving the supercharger, as this project is costing me big bucks. Does anybody know if the KB kit comes with the longer serpentine belt needed, or do they just give you a belt lenth that you need to get on your own?
Does the shop your using Have a Dyno? If not I would get the Car Tow'd to a place that does. If your on a Stock Block 11psi might be pushing it. not sure HOW effiecient KB's are.
Good luck We all expect Many Pictures and Videos of u being blown

I WANT TO BUY: \/ 03 Cobra Fuel system(Tank/pumps) Rear end parts-Axels,Gears, Diff Cover 8.8(American Mus.) HPX blow through MAss air and housing.(VMP Tuning) P51 Intake (black powdercoat) (Fox lake) GOAL=600whp
The car is going right on the install shops dyno, after everything is bolted down tight. The shop was going to to do a low ball tune with the 11 psi. pully, which would still be a little better in numbers than the 9psi.

I've got a buddy that runs an 11lb pulley on a 1.7L kit and the stock block. He doesn't tend to think things through when he mods, but he hasn't blown the engine....yet
Mine took 2 weeks to arrive, if they didn't have the ECM catch code on the order that might have delayed it a bit.
I hope that it arrives by mid week, so it will be ready for next weekend. I really can't wait to put the hammer down on my car with this unit, the problem will be keeping the rubber on the tires.

Tell me about it...4.10s + KB = Death of Tires
I had brand new street tires put on before the KB and they are getting bald already... after 2 months...

I was starting to second guess the shop that I ordered my KB supercharger through, as it seemed like it was taking a little too long for it to arrive. The shop told me that they were told that it would ship by last Wednesday, but then the shop recieved a call friday telling them differently. The shop told me that KB said that the supercharger was all polished, but the intake had yet to be polished so they could not ship last week. I thought about the whole thing over the weekend, and broke down and called KB myself yesterday. KB had me on hold for almost ten minuites before coming back on the line, telling me that they were having trouble getting stuff back from the polisher. KB told me that they had the polisher on the other line, and would call me right back after they finished talking to them about the situation. KB never did call me back yesterday which made me even more upset, I will have to call them again today!

neubstang, how much is your shop charging you for the install + tune? i'm looking for a shop in my area to do the install when it comes time, and the shop i talked to yesterday charges 2,200. seemed kinda high to me...
jmsjags, They gave me a price of $1,200.00 for the install, the tune will be a couple of hundred extra. I am planning for $1,500.00 right now, which will include installing gauges, new aluminum tranny pan and of course the intercooler.
My Kenne Bell supercharger finally came in on Monday afternoon, I ran right to the shop to crack the seal on the cases to check everything out. The supercharger looks awesome all polished up, I cannot wait for the install. When KB told us the unit was going to be shipped, the shop only had one other project going. Now that the KB has finally arrived, the shop is swamped with work and it will probably be another week before he can take my car in. I will be taking some before and after photos, and I will try taking some video of the install depending on my work schedule.
