Also have your battery & alternator tested.

and idk if this is related but recently every day on the first start it takes like 6-8 seconds of cranking to start it the engine, its never been like this, even in the winter it would crank 2-4 times not 6-10 like it is now

i had the same problem.  i changed the iac,  still did it.  lo and behold i changed my tb/plenum back to stock and now it runs perfect.  i saw you have an aftermarket 75mm like i did.  don't know if it's causing you the same problems but it's a thought.

theres gotta be something else wrong with your car....tb/plenum wouldnt make that happen....maybe you just had it installed wrong or had a vacuum leak

If you were running your car hard then threw it into nuetral and it died, it might also be the fuel filter. Sounds lame but it happened to me. Found some bad petro i guess and she died twice on me, swapped it and had no prob. <cheapest to start with on your search

just try cleaning the iac first before retuning and replacing filters and stuff....cleaning the IAC is free and i would bet a paycheck it would solve your problem

well the fuel filter he should replace anyway.  i think it's supposed to be replaced every 20,000 miles or so.

and can't cleaning the IAC mess it up?  or is that the MAF i'm thinking about?

yea fuel filter should be replaced anyways...but cleaning the IAC isnt bad either and is most likely his problem...and yea you can mess up the MAF, but the IAC is fine to clean

and fuel filter every 20k miles wont do any harm, but thats serious overkill....
