Default RE: wet sanding question

what are you trying to do? for wet sanding stick to 1000-2000 grit...pry going to need a buffer (a real one - cheapest is around 100) if it's a large area you're doing. otherwise you can do it by hand....i had a spot i just had to do on my plymouth

so wet sand (i use 1000, 2000 would have less of an affect), then use rubbing compound to buff it out (make it shiny), then use polishing compound (more shiney), later on wax...that's my process for a small area, like a run in paint, etc.
