I just put it in last night but I have a question about the stops I adjusted them out as per the instructions hold in 2nd run bolt in back off 1 turn tighen the lock nut hold in 3rd repeate my Q is after every thing is adjusted the shifter goes in to every gear but stops before it hits the stop bolts should thay make contact? I can fit a quatar between the handle and the stop bolts when you put it into 2nd or 3rd

There is no need for it to hit the stops, but they are there to prevent over extending the shift forks.

To much gap can cause problems, and to little gap can cause issues with getting it in gear.

I never had a problem backing it off one turn, per the MW website many years ago.

you don't want them to touch ...you should have somewhat of a small gap between shifter and stop;)
