Pretty funny man!! I just went to the insurance office and Im very surpriced. i had to switch my previous insur cause it was killing me, but this is funny. When i got ther I was getting some quotes, and As we all know "original Saleens" appear as regular Gt's on the car fax right? to the point.. when she typed my vin # the car was going to be insured as a regular gt. The monthly as going to be like $150, then she said."oops" the computer is giving me the option "saleen package"??? But the funny thing is that with the saleen package the monthly was going 2 b like $120. I was like  but then the computer wouldn't let her choose that option, we don't know why.... all the saleen owners that have their ponies insured as "saleens" I need some comments. I was thinking of just calling the insurance headqt's and see what they say......

It went down $30 because of how quickly Saleens drop in value.

You won't get much more than 35k for the car sold privately bud. Ive been checking 05-06 sc prices for months, and there droppin like its hot. I recently found two I'm interested in, an 06 suprcharged with 30k miles for $30,900, and an '05 with 15k miles for $32k....

Oh i realize that...^^^^ they weren't really giving me that much for my car...they just had that 20k markup so they could play the ol' bait and switch trick...damn salesman! *shakes fist*

Just want to make a quick point.  It's a "recession" people. HOUSES and CARS, the two biggest purchase items one will ever buy, are taking a hit.  If your looking at a house in Chicago for $400,000, you could probably counter offer $350,000. That is reality and unless the buy is not in a hurry to sell, they would wait til the economy picks back up. Same theory with Saleen or sports car for that matter.  People are willing to sell lower than they would normally because they need the money. DEMAND<SUPPLY     In Oct. I was able to buy an 05 s218 3v for $33,500. Black on black 20in chrome and 14in upgrade. It was listed for $38,900 with only 2400 miles.  In a strong economy, I would have never got him that low.   Semper Fi

Considering I've been finding plenty of S281 SC (05-06) with anywheres from 15-30k miles for about $30.000 I would say thats high. What is the milelage? Does it have less than 1500 miles? I couldn't fathom paying an extra 25-30k for a car when you could do the work yourself for a fraction of the price (or simply find a much better deal).
