Default Supercharger or Turbo

I was looking around for either a Supercharger or Turbo for my 03 V6 Mustang... I just registered to this forum to seek help and I'll deffinietly be sticking around =]

I just wanted to know what Turbos or Superchargers were currently out on the market for V6 mustangs... I have done some research and this month I will be adding the following:

Magnaflow Dual Exhaust Catback System
Chrome S Style Wheel 94-04 (18x10)
BBK Shorty Headers
BBK Cold Air Intake (99-03 V6)

I just wanted to know if there was anything on here that i SHOULDN'T get, or anything else you all would recommend... I'm looking to put around $9-10k into this car for a summer project.

But the main thing i'm looking for is a TURBO or SUPERCHARGER (Depending on the price for either)

Pricing is relatively close between the two, really just depends on which supercharger/TMA turbo kit you choose. If you plan on using any of the exhaust crap you just bought, i would reccomend buying a supercharger. You wont be able to use those exhaust components with a turbo.

www.tmaturbo.com

^That is what i would reccomend if you have the budget you say you do. Turbochargers are incredible, as far as a 3.8L v6(what you have) goes, you cant beat andy's turbo-kits. And as far as FI goes, you cant beat a turbocharger when it comes to horsepower or foot-pound of torque relative to PSI. Turbos will make more power, screw-type blowers make wicked low end torque, and centrifugal blowers are in between, they have a healthy powerband all around.

Well I havn't bought any of that... I'm deffinetly not a pro and have minimum knowledge about this stuff... I really am doing this as a learning experience and a fun project to do this summer. Like I said, $9-10 is my budget, and thats just the stuff I have researched. I havn't had any help from outside sources. So hopefully this forum and a lot of you experienced members out there can help me out!

I just need an idea on where to start and what to get. Like I said, I'm extremely new to this, so as much information as possible is great!

If you are going to spend 500 bucks on a catback, I would shoot for spintech. It produces one of the best exhaust tones on a v6 that I have heard so far..

Shorties are a waste, go long tubes if you want headers, MAC specifically. However if you can hold off on the headers for a bit longer, Pacesetter is putting out LT's for the v6. For some people have had trouble with MAC, but they are always willing to overnight whatever is damaged or missing.

The cold air intake is good if you are looking for the "bling" effect. But, a K&N and removing your silencer adds the same 2-3 wrhp. You could put the money towards something a bit more useful. Such as.. UDP's or a tuner.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the suggestions. This really helps, I just wanted something that sounded nice to hold me off until I get the real stuff... I didn't quite know what I was looking at, so I guess it might be better to just hold off.

If you are going to spend more than $500 on internet exhaust stuffs, i would just take it to a muffler shop and have them fab you up a new exhaust system.

there's one.

if you want the eaton m112, there is no full kit yet, though mysteed or lil roush could probably put one together for you...for the right price.
