This is what my car looked like when I got it. Small door dings in the side, chipped front bumper, overall just plain looking gt.
Heres what it looks like now. Sorry for the poor quality only have a cell phone camera. Im going to be spending a little more on fixing it up before I start saving for an engine swap down the road (hoping to go 4v). It only has 85k miles on it right now so I figure I have another 40-60k or so miles before Ill need a swap. Im just curious what else I should do to it? I thought about tinting the tail lights, but its illegal and as you can see to the left of me, need to keep stuff generally legal lol. I was thinking next mod would be 30% tint (35% is legal limit). How hard would it be to notice a 5% difference? Last thing I want to do is get pulled over and have to get $150 worth of tint taken off and redone. Does anyone know what the legal limit is in Virginia? Im currently in MD but wont be for much longer. Va is where im moving next. Basically I need tips on what mods to do next.
Car looks really nice, huge upgrade from what it used to look like + the color is unique, dont see that color around a lot (atleast I haven't). Def. tint the windows, its gonna cost you more than $150 in VA tho.......I also live in VA and I know people who have 20% tint, its at your own risk, I personally wouldnt try it, many of the guys with 20% have regreted it. The law in VA is 35% in the back and front windows are 50%, too bad your moving from MD to VA, could've had darker tints And I dont know how easily recognizable a 5% difference would be.
Add BBK headers to go with the rest of your BBK mods
Did you notice any kind of gains out of the lts though? What about the tb/plenum? Iheardneither of the two were really worth it. Idrather just save for a newengine (and maybe a blower a long long way down the road) and be happywith my mid/high 13 second car, rather than spend hundreds of dollars to shave a couple 1/10th of a second off my time. Im glad to hear from someone from VA about the tinting laws. So i take it the legal limit is 50% since a coupe only has front windows. I guess Ill have to go with 35% and if I get pulled over say Im from MD in college (which is partially the truth lol). I was also thinking about black louvers but I dont know how they would look on the edge. Come on I need suggestions people.
definetly needs some tint. If you throw 5% on the rear, the small quarter windows, and the brow. Then 30% on the sides, you should be fine. It will still be plenty dark without getting you into any trouble. Need to update sig pic with new wheels too
I agree on the tint. Another thing I think makes a difference is to have the mirror housings color matched to the body. Maybe even the Mach1 lip too. Maybe lower it a bit too. Save your pennies for that motor swap otherwise.

Is your a Auto? If So why not think about a shift kit they are relitivly inexpensive and make things way more exciting From there K-Membercoil springs and A Arms(you can get a Kit for $650) That K-memeber will help out lots when the engine swap time comes.
Ohh BTW there were only 1369 Mustangs Painted this Color (Aztec Gold) in 97
I see yours they call "Sunburst Gold" looks like the same color to me though. You don`t see many around. I get compliments quite often about mine and how you don`t see many that color

gains are minimal with both, although they add up with other mods and add up for better performance also. dont agree with baino in putting 5% in the back and quarters, if you have MD plates your good but in this case I'm assuming you will have VA plates and 5% will be illegal, I mean I know of people who DO get away with it, but again, its up to you. +1 on updating the sig pic!
