I have an 07 gt vert. Im sick of hearing my father in law tell me how much faster his stock camero is and he only paid $6500 for it. His 1/8th mile times are 8.9 at 80 mph. I need to get there and I cant afford a supercharger.

Well you shot yourself in the foot with the heavier vert. Did you atleast get the manual?

4.10 gears, intake + tune, 1 piece aluminum driveshaft are the first things I'd be looking at.

whipple HO SC,FRPP springs, Pypes mid mufflers, Che adj. LCA, hurst, 4.10's, 1 piece DS, spec stg 2 clutch. Accel coils 12.52@117.6mph so far with a 2.01 60 ft time(pre shaft, coils, clutch).

weight is a big factor.. ours are one of the heaviest i can remember.. Fox bodies on up got hearvier, i believe.. Someone correct me if you can..

no matter what he paid your car is 10 times nicer. Liek the fart can mr2 last week that tried to race me with a turbo on it I said to myself that thing looks like it will fall apart, sure enough he shifted hard into 2nd and his muffler fell right off.

tell your dad you dont care how fast his car is its ugly as hell. I rather look good then be fast. Its to easy for soemone to buy a car for 500 then put 6 grand into a engine and say they have afast car but its all primer and 3 diff colors.[:'(]

Ok, that was funny. I actually did smoke a WS6 Trans Am a few nights ago on I-35 south here in austin. Sounded like aftermarket exhaust can't comment on what else. From a 50mph roll I left him pretty bad twice. Was trying to talk to him the second time but he was pissed and wanted to run again. Blew him off after the second run after pulling a car-length.

I actually like to shoot the **** after racing (even after losing). It's all in fun...
