so i was doing some research and i found that the evo ix costs about 38000, and runs about a 9.4 in the 1/4... so do you think for 20 grand, we can run sub 10s in the quarter hehe... i think buckman and fazm are at 11s now right? and theyve spent what? six grand? ... stupid ricers

buckman and rygen have both broke 11's with the 6. idk about fazm. theyve spent more than 6 g. you gotta register the rest of the drivetrain (tranny, rear,d/s) along with all of the supporting mods like springs, shocks, LCA/UCAs, tires etc... buckman even shot rods out of his block.. but i bet they havent broke 10g yet... excluding the shot rods and blown trannies...
s197 ftl...and for the record, theres no way in hell it runs 9s stock...you fail...a c6 z06 can barely break the 10s, and thats only with a perfect driver

my bad about the 1/4 times.. i was looking online at dragtimes.com and these were not stock evos... i cant find a stock evo time since all they talk about is circuit racing... but my only point was that for all the hype these get as the s**t, for less than they are worth we can build an s197 monster that will DESTROY them... and yes.... stupid ricers

also, the whole thing with Evo's is that, for the rally tuner (not ricer) crowd, Evo vs STI is just as big as Mustang vs Camaro is for us
an Evo is a great car for rally racing, it's not meant for straight drag racing

An Evo isn't a ricer, just like an STi isn't a ricer. They're fast cars that will kick the crap out of a lot of Mustangs. A ricer is somebody that puts a coffee can on their car with a huge wing and things they can take anything on the road.
