Default 1989 Mustang 5.0HO with high-performance after-market parts

I'm having an issue with timing my 5.0. I time it, it runs great, then it won't re-start. It has an MSD ignition, 65mm throttle body, Edelbrock intake and an F cam, port and polished heads, long-tube headers, no cats. After car is warm, it will not re-start for at least a half-hour. Does anyone know of someone in NWest CT who can help me out?
P.S. The heads are basically stock,(iron heads that have been port and polished, with aluminum roller-rockers)...is an F cam compatible with it?
Thanks for any help you can offer.

when did this problem occur?? and did you start messing with timing thinking that was the prob and would correct the issue at hand??

I had to replace a leaking head gasket, had problem with the thermostat sticking closed...then I put in an MSD distributor...a short while later the issue started. Then, a couple local know-it-alls tried to "help"me. Now, I'm totally lost. Yes, I did mess with the timing.

Put a stock dizzy back in and see if that fixes your problem. I would just run the stock dizzy with the msd cap and rotor. Did you have to use the same TFI module?

thank guys, this is a drag. I paid good money for an all MSD ignition. some time back the TFI went bad , it was the MSD TFI the one the dist. came with. So a got one from the local dealership and put it on the MSD dist. it work poorly. now with the advice of you guys. I am running a stock dizzy and the car really is starting to pull! First and second just spin like on ice. (still have stock 3:26 gear in rear.I think) But car still will not start up immediately after shutting it down. But five minutes later starts like nothings wrong? Also about six month ago the MSD blaster TFI coil fried up. that was replaced with motorcraft coil. the only thing left now that is MSD is the ignition control module. what a costly lesson. Jee over six months of bull and Im back to stock almost.thank again you all were very helpful KEEP THE SHINY SIDE UP.Andy
