I have an '87 coupe. I recently bought a new carpet from 50 resto. When I went to pull my old carpet up I realized the floor under the passenger seat was rotting out and i could see the ground from inside the car when I pressed on it. I'm tempted to just throw the new carpet on it and just push. But I don't want my passenger to fall through the floor. I heard there is a bracket or something to fix this problem.

A bracket may help for a cracked floorpan but not a rusty one. The only options are a patch, newpan($120), or throw the carpet on and sell the car quick.

Remind me never to buy what your selling, damn. Find a good metal shop and they can fab new floor pans or you can buy new one's. I'd go ahead and take care of that and any other rot you may have.

Nah, I wouldn't do that to somebody its just what a lot of people would do in that situation. I got screwed over with the rusty floor in my current stang.
