Default painting calipers

I was thinking about painting them, but im not exactly sure what I would paint them with?? Is there a certain kind of paint that I should use on them?? Also how should I go about painting them once I have them off?

DupliColor makes a kit, can be found at AutoZone or Advanced AutoParts. Pull your wheel(s), clean the heck out of the cailpers. Mask off surrounding areas and paint away. Some people spray, some use a brush. I haven't done this yet but will soon. Good luck!

I used the black DupliColor with brush very easy just clean em good. Best $17 I ever spent. Do yourself a favor and paint the center of therotors while your at it. Makes a bg difference. Goodluck.

I've used both. Duplicolor is 1 part paint. G2 is 2 part paint. Duplicolorcan be reused at a later date, G2 hardens up and you throw it away after application. Duplicolor holds up for about 1 year, don't know how long G2 lolds up as I just used it a couple of weeks ago. Duplicolor is available at Wally World for around $17-18 bucks. G2 roughly twice as much. Duplicolor only has a few colors. G2 has many colors and can even do custom colors.

Hope this helps.

I used the Duplicolor brush kit in red, one caliper at a time. Two coats covered well.

I used Dupicolor kit for the calipers, 2 coats. Clean them WELL and take your time. Took mine apart and painted them. +1 on doing the center of the rotors. Never understood taking all the time doing the calipers and leaving the ugly center of the rotors in plain view. Used the G2 kit for the rotors and did the centers as well as the edges and the insides of the veins.

I used DupliColor. It brushes on so smoothly.

Here's a vid describing the process.

+1 on the G2. Just did mine with the G2 redfire this weekend. Take your time, clean and tape everything up good, and it looks awesome. One good coat with some touchups the second time around was plenty.
