Default Testing Fuel Pump Question.

Hi all,

I have a quick question. What is the best way to test and hot wire a fuel pump in a 2.3 LX Convertible? Its the DIS ignition system.
Ijust need to use a paper clip in the Fuel Pump Test point to the Computer Test Ground point on the ECC test connector right? or what is another logical and safe way?

The reason im trying to test the pump is because i have a no start condition and im trying to rule out the fuel pump.

Thanks!

When you turn the key on you should be able to hear it run for a few seconds. You can poke the schrader valve to see if fuel is present also.

Hi,

Im not hearing the fuel pump ay all when the key is on the "On" position.

I was wondering if its possible to wire the pump to a 12v source thats all.

Thanks.
