oxfordgt 05-13-2008, 03:29 PM Looks pretty good. What paint are you using? I used some paint from late model resto to paint my triple gauge pod piller and it matched the rest of the interior perfect.
blee69mustang 05-13-2008, 03:30 PM not bad. i personally like the black interior alot better then the beige. are you going to paint the dash too?
1sloblckgt 05-13-2008, 03:36 PM It's called Sem dye...
I hate the brown interior... [:'(]Its been getting at me for about 4 years, just never got around to doing it all.
I am changing everything to black... Dash, console, carpet, doors, back seat will probably turn into a delete and all the back panels.
Sorry about the cell pics, its all I had.
black35th 05-13-2008, 03:58 PM Looks good man, how much is that Sem Dye? What kind of quanities does it come in? I too am a victim of the beige interior[:'(] and have been wanting to paint/do something with it for a while now.
02 Ninja 05-13-2008, 04:36 PM DAMN! Not bad fella...................not bad at all. I agree that black looks better, but that is going to make your interior hot as hell.
Mrs.Stang 05-13-2008, 05:17 PM that looks really good. You did a great job, can't even tell you painted it!
WhiteFoxGT 05-13-2008, 08:10 PM Did you spray right over the carpet type crap at the bottom of the door panel too? Howd that work out.. No problems I take it?
1sloblckgt 05-14-2008, 08:57 AM Thanks guys...
I actually took the carpet off on the driver door, because I didn't think it would look good if I dyed it. I figured I would just order some new carpet for the door panels, but after I had it off the door I thought I would give it a shot. It worked perfect, you cant even tell that the carpet was brown. I put it back on after everything was ready.
The interior is going to be very hot, especially in the alabama heatbut my car being black is hot anyway. I would rather be burning up than have that nasty interior.
The SEMdye is about 18$ a can.
98MustangGT46 05-14-2008, 11:12 AM Looks great. Black on Black FTW!!!:D
1sloblckgt 06-10-2008, 08:48 AM I got around to doing the rear panels this weekend...I haven't been able to make my rear seat delete, so I just put some fabric over the backseat and tucked it in for now... Doesnt look too bad. Carpet, dash, and console are next...

NinetySix GT 06-10-2008, 09:09 AM Wow great job looks really good to me!:D
1sloblckgt 06-10-2008, 09:13 AM Thanks man.
MoKo_04GT 06-10-2008, 09:14 AM looks good....looks good.
trance565 06-10-2008, 09:37 AM very nice, one word of advice, dont use any armoral wipes or anything on painted areas. my brother painted most the interior of my car back when it was his, and he didnt realize the alcohol content int he wipes would be bad for the paint. i've since replaced all the panels except for the dash(which has bubbles one the passenger side air bag cover :( ) with charcoal due to paint flaking and peeling.
but, i must admit, it is definantly a cheap fix, and looks good as hell for a good time. just stay away from armorall from now on.
1sloblckgt 06-10-2008, 09:44 AM Thanks, but I didnt use any armor all on the pieces.... I knew that I couldn't do that because it would lift the paint off..
Cheap fix? Not really... The cleaner is about 12$ a can, the primer is about 6$ a can and the Dye is 18$ a can. So far it has taken a can a panel.
Not sure if your brother just used regular spray paint or not, but thats what it sounds like.
trance565 06-10-2008, 09:54 AM he used interior paint he got from oreily's or autozone. and yes, 36 bucks a panel, is cheap as hell. as unless you go to a junk yard you will be paying 100+ depending on the panel. 300+ for the dash.
98MustangGT46 06-10-2008, 11:21 AM Nice its coming along very good.
