And the fitment!!! The fit is most important! Will they rub? Will they hit anything? Will they hang too low for speed bumps and such? Ease of installation? The fitment is directly related to the ease of install too. By far, the best fitting are ARH and Kooks, ask any Mustang shop that does these on a daily basis.

I plan to get the ARH LTs. They make a good quality product and they fit great.

I am happy with my SLPs but if you get the catted x-pipe the cats do hang low, not an issue if you don't plan on lowering like me but it is something to consider, the SLPs came standard stainless , ceramic coated, and for me only cost 699 , 200 for X -pipe , at the time all the other LT header brands were pushing 1000, with ceramic coating extra as well as mid pipe extra.
Also the SLPs were 1 3/4" , I plan on adding a blower in the future and wanted the bigger primaries. Really depends on what you want to do, I know a guy who has some real cheap LT headers and he loves them, they have come down in price a bit, if it helps I had narrowed it down to either the SLPs for the reasons above or the JBA set-up with catted h-pipe, I picked up +10 rwhp/rwtq by adding the SLP headers and X-pipe, those are real world dyno numbers, not the BS all the header brands advertise: +30rwhp/rwtq

I agree, i think the majority of the increase in HP when you add a set of LT's and freer flowing midpipe comes from the usual re-tune done for those mods. As this video demonstrates. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wcQPiLTdt04

Kooks are what I'm planning to get, but not until after I go through the bottom end.. Since I'm FI, I wouldn't be surprised if LT's and a hi-flow cat setup adds like 20 RWHP.. That will put me outside of my comfort zone on the stock bottom end, so for now, no dice.
It never ends. I thought "Just this $6500 for the blower and I'll be happy".. Then "Just this $2500 for wheels and rubber and I'll be happy".. Then "Just this $9000 in body panels and paint and I'll be happy".. Now I need suspension, and a forged bottom end, and headers, and smaller supercharger pullies, and..............
Someone call a doctor. I've been bitten (more than once). I'm infected.

yeah i was planning on getting the kooks headers just because of the sound and the fit, but i also want headers that i can run with/without a supercharger...i plan on getting a stage 2 or 3 saleen supercharger in the future for my car

I ordered Mac LT. I actually regret it right now because I havn't really heard many good things about them...but when they are installed we'll see how everything sounds and feels. I hear fitment is horrible; we'll see.
I have Mac LTs and I installed them myself on my cousin's lift. Fitment is a little tight but you can get them in there. I had to remove the steering linkage (must do for all LTs, I believe), unbolted both motor mounts and raised the engine just for ease of access, removed the starter. A couple bolts are major PIAs but it got done. They sound amazing and I did feel an increase in power on my way home, though I don't know how much exactly. Enough to notice in the seat of the pants.
