It's really best to change out the OE struts and shocks when you upgrade to stiffer springs. Partly because more spring rate will tire out the OE rebound damping more quickly (which isn't like brand-new as it is). And partly just so you only have to disassemble the suspension once (keeping in mind that some fasteners are one-time-use). Particularly since you have concerns about chassis ride height, I'm going to strongly recommend the adjustables. Although it's still kind of a "band-aid" solution, being able to dial in more damping with the D-Specs can reduce by a little the likelihood of bottoming the spoiler under some conditions while driving. Ultralites and Tokico D-Spec's is the exact route I'm taking. Get the adjustables, you won't be sorry.
