Steeda Ultra-lite w/ shocks/struts?

I plan on getting the Steeda Ultra-lites within the next week or two to lower my car an inch all around...and increase handling. I have a CDC aggressive chin so I am not going with the Eibach's because that extra 1/2 inch may actually help me save the chin spoiler. So.......with the springs how important is it to change the shocks/struts? Do I need to do it? I am looking at the Tokico D specs and Tokico HD's. I am not too sure if I need an adjustable shock though. What do you think? Also...I did use the search button but there was nothing I saw that was specific enough.

It's really best to change out the OE struts and shocks when you upgrade to stiffer springs. Partly because more spring rate will tire out the OE rebound damping more quickly (which isn't like brand-new as it is). And partly just so you only have to disassemble the suspension once (keeping in mind that some fasteners are one-time-use).

Particularly since you have concerns about chassis ride height, I'm going to strongly recommend the adjustables. Although it's still kind of a "band-aid" solution, being able to dial in more damping with the D-Specs can reduce by a little the likelihood of bottoming the spoiler under some conditions while driving.

Ultralites and Tokico D-Spec's is the exact route I'm taking. Get the adjustables, you won't be sorry.

Hmmm......where is a good place to get that package? I noticed they have both on the Steeda site $239 for the springs and $550ish for the shocks. Is that good?

You could try Sam Strano. I think he's under $550 for the D-specs and is apparently a Steeda dealer . . .

The Steeda Ultralites are out of stock. I'd get the Steeda Sport Springs. I've also got the CDC Aggressive Chin Spoiler. I'm running the Steeda Sport Springs and Tokico D-Specs. It's a perfect combo. It's the perfect height for this chin spoiler. I can actually clear a lot of parking stops. It rides amazing. My girl has the Steeda Ultralites on her car with stock struts and my car rides 100 times better.

The drop on the Sport Springs is the same as the Ultralites. 1" in the front and 1.25" in the rear.

That's an awesome price on the D-Specs. I'd jump on that. I paid about $20 more than that.
