I've got an 88 foxbody LX 5.0/5-speed hatch and I want to know what the best modifications would be for 2k(this isn't all I'll be spending on the car, just all for the time being). This is my daily driver, I want it to be reliable, handle well, and go fast(in that order).

AFR 165s they will be damn near 1500 by themselves but they will definately get you started off right

I would get AFR heads which are under $1400. A cam with 1.6 roller rocker and an intake. Everything else is just an easier bolt on down the road but you have the foundation set.

if a 88 gt 5.0l is your dd then i would take some of the cash and buy a new dd like a small civic you know gas prices r pertty high and you making a mustang faster is not going to give you the best mpg so i would buy a 4cyl eco car for a dd and then buy stuff for the stang thats why i have a 04 civic dd and a 86 gt that i am fixing up

+1. The gears would give you an instant seat of the pants difference, the nitrous will make you clean out your pants, and the uppers/lowers and tires will keep you on the road instead of all over it.

wil when i drive 20 miles a day and fill my honda up 1 every 2 weeks and gt 38 mpg and i drive the stang 20miles a day and have to fill up every week and only get 17mpg it pays off when gas is 3.75 a gallon and he asked what do you think i should do with the cash i just said what i would do thats all pepele have deffrent opions and that is mine
