Has anyone ever heard of this company or this stall??? Its only $249 for a 2300-2500 stall!!! I know u get what u pay for, but do u guys think this is worth a try? It sure sounds alot better than payin $600 for a StallionTC http://racetransmissions.com/store/product_info.php/cPath/21_38_134_162/products_id/240

first off, 2300 to 2500 wouldnt be much higher than the stock converter (i think stock is like 1700-1800). i would go for maybe like a 2600-2800 for a DD, higher if its not. second, a torque convertor is just one of those things that i (myself, IMO) would really not cheap out on.

like you said you get what you pay for. the best type of converter is a multi disc. the problem is when a cheap converter lets go it usually destroys the tranny in the process. Unless you are doing a lot of drag racing its not really worth it. I have been 11.90's on stock converter in my 01 and am still running stock converter.

I say dont cheap out on the converter at all man. You think thats bad, BC-Auto sells his converter for like $1k, but like you said you get what you pay for. Darrin has one of the best converters in the market. I would highly suggest doing a converter though, with a shift kit, tranny cooler, stall, gears and radials you'll be woopin up on some manuals that talk smack :D
I dont know about the 2300-2500rpm stall, sounds kinda low. Is the car a DD? I have a 3000rpm stall and my car is DD, gets very annoying at first, but you get used to it after a while and know just the right amount of gas to give it. People think your drag racing when the light goes from red to green although you're just strollin' with a stall:D Before you get it think twice if you wanna risk your ride comfort.

Yes it is a DD...Well i got some 4.10's already, butI wanted a stall to go with some VT stage 2 cams im thinkin about gettin. Or should I just get Stage 1's? Cause I was thinkin that a 3K plus stall would go perfect with the VT stage 2's... If anyone knowsthey wont by experience, then please let me know... And where's a site to buy a GOOD QUALITY converter?
+1 on www.bc-automotive.com good quality but rough on the wallet:(

Soon I will be in the market for a new converter. I was considering like a 3200 stall. A converter for that price would be nice, but I definitely wouldn't throw in something that isn't proven to work good.
