Default top end install..

hey guys it's been a while since i've posted on here but here's my question. I've finally got some extra cash built up and I am interested in buying the trick flow top end kit. I was just wondering how difficult the install is. I've replaced the entire engine in my car but that was with a huge amount of help from my very mechanically inclined friend. I have done a clutch swap myself, not that has anything to do with a top end, but do you think since i was able to do that no problem, could I do the top end myself? any replies are appreciated and info on the kit would be helpful too. thanks

Top ends aren't bad. Take your time and choose a systematic approach to it so nothing gets lost or broken. I've done two, not to bad. They're just nuts and bolts : )

Be careful not go to excesive with the cam lift... you don't want to damage your new Heads or Valves with piston and valve clearance issues.

depends on what your ET goal is... stroke or no stroke, im guessing no stroke this go around...
there are many heads out there, Edelbrock, AFR, Canfield, TF, then your ford iron heads (gt40)
AFR 165 is probally the smallest size head except for the edelbrock performer (not rpm) 1.9 intake valve.
then you have AFR 185, 205
edlebrock rpm, victor jr's
canfield 170 i think it is and the 195 then bigger
TF wedge, hi ports,
each company has small and large heads, if you dont plan to spin real high (<6500) you wont need huge heads for a 302.
cam selection is the big factor...save yourself the trouble...custom cam ftw
edelbrock, holly, or TF make good intakes
