I give up, I really do. After installing my duals, my check engine light constantly comes on and throws 2 codes: P0153 and P0300. It has been to the dealership 4 times, thats right, 4 times in less than 3 weeks. They have replaced the O2 Sensors and the EGR valve several times. Each time they tell me it is fixed, no less than 24 hours after leaving the dealership, the check engine light comes back on.
They have told me it is NOT my exhaust, if they thought it was, they would not have fixed it 4 times. Count it up to 5 when I drop it off on Wednesday. The tech said he has never ever seen a mustang do this. The service manager said he had his best tech on it today, and when I called him back 2 hours after leaving the dealership to tell him the light was back on, he was gassed.
I am at a loss. I have no clue what to do, I guess at least the dealership it "trying" to fix the problem. I just don't like paying for a mustang, and having to drive a focus 2 times a week while they fix it.
that sux im not sure if anyone else has had this problem... im feelin for u man.... y are u driving a focus... they dont have any stangs they can loan u?
uh, I dunno, they hand me keys and tell me to drive it till they call. I think they have 2-3 demo cars they give customers while their cars are being repaired, I think they are all focuses. Just once I wish they would hand me the keys to the GT500 in the showroom, LOL. As much as I am there, you think they would!
lol that would be tight as hell but seriously i would complain and bull**** till they alow me to drive a stand while they repair my stang lol but i dont know how dealerships work... im anti stealership
jakecat22 be happy that your dealer isn't taking the easy route out putting the blame on your after market exhaust and the fact that they did loan you a car.
A Focus isn't too bad. I bought a 2006 for my daughter. I think they have a lot of pep to them.
My car dealer usually gives me a F-150 to drive in.
I hope they find the problem.
Has it been raining in your area when this happens? Could this be the water leak problem that has surfaced in throwing false codes????
Never even thought of that, so I ran out when I read your post to check my floor boards, cause it rained like crazy saturday and sunday. How can I tell if I have a leak? My carpet is wet!!!!!! Passenger side, under the seat, and just in front to the right by the door panel has some moisture in the carpet! Where would the water leak in from and could this be causing my problem? Thanks svastano!!!!!!!!!!!
