Im a cop in Honolulu and would love to chase u around. I do use my Mach as my patrol car, so it should be fun. Sad thing is that after I catch you, Im arresting you, towing your car, calling your insurance company and writing an awesome report against you. The judge will fine the crap out of you, your insurance will def go up and it'll cost you 400+ to get your car out of the impound...Damn!!! Man, dont run from cops, just pull over and man up as we all speed from time to time. Honesty does go along ways with alot of cops, especially me.

There's a problem with cops though.  In my area they all think that they can do 140mph just because they're cops.  In their squad cars and their own vehicles.  I can understand hauling ass when your code 3 (lights running trying to get somewhere) but just because is ****.  Also turning on your lights just to get through a redlight and then turning them off is crap as well.  I'm not one of those guys that says screw the popo or anything like that.  Police are needed.  I respect police and the job they do but THEY ARE NOT ABOVE THE LAW.

Was pretty funny in the movie SuperBad Though!!......  Sorry completely off topic

Is this guy for real? I mean seriously, did his mom piss in his cheerios every morning or something? Do you realize what would happen after impacting a telephone pole, or another car at 135 miles an hour?!!? Your a complete dumbass, not only are you endangering yourself but the cop pursuing you and people driving down the road completely oblivious your about to come over a hill at speeds like that. Think before you act, and man up when you mess up.

Well i have two instances that will forever be on my mind. One involving me just flat out running a crown vic cop, and one getting out of a ticket for a 130 mph (no exaggeration).

The first was in Hattiesburg, MS. I was out there training soldiers to go to Iraq. I had just got my diablo tuner for my 99 gt vert that i only had for a month. I wanted to test it out on I59. I get on the interstate (which at this time was only a couple weeks after MS cops just got radar detectors for their cars) and punch it up to 100 and a cop passes me on the opposite end of the interstate, and i slow down out of fear. I see him bust a U-turn, lights go on and i make the stupid decision to run. I tell you what, that was the most fun i ever had (almost wet my pants out of fear though). I punched it up to about 135-40. till I reach two truckers blocking both lanes, so i ride the shoulder, pass them, take the next exit and run down a back road. lost him! damn i was scared but from then on i run unless they see my tags (i have too many tickets to just let them pull me over).

The second was in middle GA (small town highways). I was just having fun running down this 2 lane highway because i had just got some long tube headers and full offroad pipes. i'm passing people on this 2 lane road at speeds exceeding 100 becaude there's just never cops out here. well i calm down and start doing 75 in the 55. this cop passes by me on the opposite side of the hwy and i saw him U-turn further back (maybe 1/4 mile) so i punched it till i reached the next town (lost the cop way before i reach this town). i slow down to posted speed limit. after 5 min. or so, that some cop comes up behind me flashing lights so i pull over (no choice now). he tells me I passed an unmarked cop car doing 130 and was i aware of this. i told him no. He said that cop called him out there to check me out and he passed me doing 75 in the 55 and he also mentioned that i seemed to speed up after i passed him because he chased me for 10 miles. To this I also claimed to be unaware of the circumstances (i was freaking scared, thought i was going to jail). I was shaking and he asked why i was so shook up, i told him my mother was sick and i had to get to her in a hurry (thought it was lame at the time but...). He said "well if your" as soon as he said that the guy on the radio told him i have 3 speeding tickets already. my heart dropped. He said well it's your lucky day, i'm gonna let you get to your mom but i'm gonna let every cop in the area to know to watch out for you. Huh???? He even complimented me on my car "you don't want to wreck that pretty thing now do you" he asked me... well i know next time, i better lie my ass off!

i was getting depressed about my life then i read this and felt really good about myself. heres to a new day

I do agree with this!  I'm honest every single time a cop pulls me over, and although I don't get out of every ticket, I have gotten out of a lot of them.  Plus I usually end up making friends with most of them by the time their done with the ticket.  Most cops are humans too, (some have mental issues, and take the fact they were abused or picked on as kids out on joe public).

far from fake. For those who know me would know this though. I just have this logic that it's not that hard to outrun the cops in small towns because they can't afford helicoptors and what not. So i run. If I race and lights go up on the side of the road, i let the other guy get caught.

I wouldn't run if you had a mach. If I run, the stakes have to be in my favor. When i go through Alabama and see those chargers sitting on I20 or those firebirds and camaros in Florida, I slow the hell down. I'm not trying them, their counties have money!

On a cool day and my stock 3.26 gear, it was very easy for me to reach 135-140. On hwy 49 in MS I was able to get it up to 150 (because of the hills) in the morning time. But I admit during the heat of the day, 120-125 was usual. I stick to the track now and don't speed on the street so i don't know my top speed with my 4.10 gear.

I'm gonna close with some final thoughts as to the controversy I seemed to have stirred up. For one these events are real but are behind me. I've outrun cops in my 98 cadillac deville concours before (that car climbs top speeds easier then my mustang and i don't know why) but that is also behind me. I've just been lucky a lot in my life. I'm a 21 yr. old (22 on may 27th) thats been making a little over 50k a year (take home) since i was 19. Heck, I have three cars fully paid for and my own house that i'm paying on already. It's just that when you mix a fast car and a young and dumb kid, they do dumb stuff. I think 95% of that type of dumb stuff is out of me. I just want to race at the track now. I want to marry and have a family. I definately want to go to school and double my salary. I also have a respect for the police, though at the time and even presently, I hold a lot of speeding tickets and did not want my license suspended (got to get to work and make that money). But I will forever remember these events. Thanks for your interest and comments (bad or good).

Honesty goes a long way with cops? Yeah, not in Vermont. I go to school in vermont and the same cop has pulled me over three times. Once it was pure ice and my truck was sliding around and he accused me of trying to do donuts. I have a 2wd dodge dakota i drive. I told him i have 2wd and no snow tires i was sliding all over the place and didnt believe me. Then he pulled me over 20 feet from the 45 mph zone while i was in the 25 and gave me a ticket for going 42 and i told him i knew it changed i was just speeding up... Seriously why are 90% of cops jerks.

Cops are assholes because they deal with assholes... Get a regular cop on a GOOD day, and you'll have yourself a decent fellow... But a lot of them are power hungery jerks ... But only a slim percent of them.

Just party with cops and become friends with them, and you can do whatever you want. That's what most kids in my town do. Sometimes I wish I had too. Then, I would've never had my license suspended.

I've known other people who have evaded the cops.. nothing I plan on ever doing..

I've only had 3 tickets in my life.. 2 i deserved, 1 i didn't.. and I've been pulled over 2x w/o getting a ticket because I wasn't speeding or doing anything wrong.. 1x for not turning on my turn signal long enough before making a lane change.. and he claimed I was speeding but I knew I wasn't, I told him my instrument panel must be malfunctioning because my speedo read 40.. he claimed i was doing 50.. so he let me off with a warning for that.. other time i got pulled over after having a few drinks I was a block away from my house and I was pulled over for taking a turn too fast and the light above my license plate was out.. he let me go with a warning.. I was worried he'd do a sobriety test(although I was sure i'd pass).. but he didn't even ask if i had been drinking (and i had stamps all over both my hands)...

anyway.. I'd say I've only met a couple of cool cops.. most of the guys that pulled me over were jerks even when I was nice and respectful.. so I can also understand why people start to dislike them and just want to run..  It's just not worth the consequences to me..  and I've known people who have gotten warnings for doing 15-40 over.. they have breasts though..

if u had been drinking no matter how much in control of ur body u are you would've failed the sobriety test no matter what b/c the eye test... supposedly following that pen with the light in ur eye, ur eye reacts in a way that cannot be controlled if u are under the influence
