My buddies has an 03 cobra and this morning he was out driving it and it got stuck in gear and he could not shift it into any other gear . Has anyone else ran into this problem or might know whats wrong, and what route should he take to beef up the transmission to make it alot stronger thanks in advance

Sounds like an issue I used to have with my Vega (yep, Chevy Vega ) Waaaaayyyyy back in my teen years. The Synchros used to go bad and would not come out of third gear. I was able to dis-engage with clutch, but could not go into any other gear. Happened several times as it was an Opal trans. The very first time, I took the trans out, and put in on work bench to check it out. It rolled over and popped out of third. I came tothe conclusion it was "jammed" by something and re-installed it again. Ireplaced it2 days later []

I don't know if yours has the same issue, but is same description. Can you see if anything mechanical is in the way of linkage?

Does your buddy have an aftermarket shifter? have you checked the set screws? He may have over shifted and damaged internals, but check the shifter and make sure its in correctly, because otherwise its a rebuild process. Damaging the t-56 takes some power/mistake, rebuilds or viper-spec trannys are good replacements. G-force transmissions sell upgrade kits to handle 900+ if he doesnt mind extra noise.
