well i work as a LEO and while i was at work with my car parked in the rear of the building some a$$hole keyed my drivers quarter panel. now its not horribly bad its light for the most part but one part of it is deep and is showing white if i took it to a shop could they fill it and buff it out or am i sol and gonna have to get it repainted.
and the worst part of it is that where i was parked the cameras dont hit and i cant prove who did it and it sucks cause now it looks like i have white pinstripes on the side of my car
Sorry to hear, I hate reading these posts. I would try buffing it with some touch up paint first. It worked pretty well for me anyway, as long as its not too deep. Hope you figure out who it was somehow.

Wow, $80 is a great price. I'd be worried about the job they'd do though. A good body shop will get the paint from the manufacturer and tint it to match the paint on your car (from years of fading, etc). I'm betting for $80 they'll just fill it with the paint, wet sand it, and polish it back up. Still, it's better than the scratch. For $80 though, it's not a hard job to do yourself.
well normally they charge $300 but all my fellow officers go to the same place and they do a great job but im only worried about getting the scratches out and making it look as good as possible. plus its black and ill admit im still a bit scared to take a pc to the black paint. i dont wanna fudge it up

Ahh, well then they will probably do a good job.
Honestly, it's hard to mess up with a PC unless you're just stupid, haha. That's the point of a random orbital. Watch a few videos of some people doing it and then try a small flat area. I promise it's not hard.

same thing happened to me... my girlfriend (at the time... now she's my ex-girlfriend) keyed the passenger side fenders so deep that it had to be repainted... i was quoted at $400 so $80 sounds like a great deal even if it isn't a perfect fix... wish i could find a place like that
