Default Gas Gauge HELP!

I just bought a 1990gt when i bought it the gauge was working an hour afteri bought it i filled it up theneedle went all the way up past f then about five min later i looked down and it was under e iv been driving it 4 2 days and its in the same spot.how hard are they to replace and how much?

It is probabley your sender in the tank going nuts I doubt its the guage I've been through 2 stock guages and mines still not fixed. It could also be a ground or loose connection

The sender is between 50-70bucks new but I found a used one.
