Default Ripoff dentist.

Ok so last week, I had a mishap when working out and hit my face with a weight and chipped a tooth. I made an appointment for 9am this morning and get called in an hour passed my appointment time.[:@] So the dentist takes an exray and comes in spouting off about how I need this and that done and keeps finding things and such. I am astonished by his "findings" because I brush constantly and take care of my teeth. So, instead of fixing what I went in to get fixed, they decide to draw up a payment sheet and schedual another appointment to get it all done. This had happened to me once before when I was little. I went to one dentist that told me I needed an unbelievable ammount of work done, then go to another dentist and I don't need any.[&:] So all in all, I paid 100 bucks for a bull**** story. I'm sure this is rather common amoung asshat dentists. Anyone ever had a similar experience?

You would think you could find someone trust worthy when it comes things like this, not trying to squeeze money out of you. Also, when the lady came in to discuss the payments...I told her there is no ****ing way there is that many problems and that I brush after every meal. She just kinda went blank and said, "I just happens sometimes". I mean, gtfo...I expect a more legit response then that.[&:]

Yeah, my old dentist gave me a root canal on my very back top right tooth. Didn’t tell me how much it was going to be before he did it, then when I got up to the front to leave, they expected me to pay 900 something dollars right then and there. I told them if they didn’t let me work out payments then they weren’t going to get their money. Then come to find out, they were really supposed to send me to a specialist. Since that back tooth has 3 roots instead of just one. Unfortunately, I need to have another one tomorrow, but this one is only going to cost me about 200. At least all of my other teeth are perfectly fine. I’m just glad this is the last one I have to have.

ALL dentists do that. The thing is tell em what you want them to do and tell em what you don't want them to do. They don't need a reason as to why you don't want something. It's just like going to a mechanic. They will always try to upsell you. JUST SAY NO

I can understand a mechanic possibly doing something like that. Just seems that someone working on your BODY shouldn't perform unnecessary work. That's like a surgen cutting on you more than you need and leaving scars where you didn't even need work. ****ed up. :-/

Damn, talk about greed being an evil thing...I don't believe I could bring myself do that even if I would be rolling in more cash. That's just morally wrong.[&:]
