I recenty bought a 1995 Mustang GT 5.0 off my aunt and it is an automatic... pretty pointless to have a automatic GT lol but i was wondering what my best and cheapest approach would be to swap it to a manual a 94 or 95 transmission used is hard to get your hands on around here in North Carolina I guess lol and ive been told to use a fox transmission and change the input shaft and the bell housing but dont u have to take the transmission apart to get change the input shaft and if so how hard of a job is it and i was wondering if there is an easier approach i should take on this job? And also what series Flowmasters sound best on a GT 5.0? I was thinkin about 40 series.

Yeah  you have to take the trans apart to throw in a different imput shaft to make it work.  It would be wiser to look in the internet or ebay to find a take out setup. My honest Opinion on the flowmasters is 2 chambers sound the best if you go that route, but I would try for something else besides flowmasters.  So many other better catbacks can be found for the fox!

You can swap the input shafts out without tearing the tranny down, but watch out for the needle bearings cause they will fall down inside the trans and you will be screwed...

Not sure what the cost would be, but why can't you put the fox bellhousing and trans in and just get a longer driveshaft?  The difference is less than 1" between the fox and the 94-95 input shaft.
