Default South texas heat

How much water and coolant should be mixed in South texas? I need to flush my radiator and probably add some Water weeters, running pretty hot, roughly 210-220
Should I use all H2o? or mix it 75/25 or 50/50 ( water/coolant)
I have a 302 Hipo that is bored .40

Thanks,

I run 50/50 with water wetter. You may can use 70/30 but check it for your winter temperatures. It would suck to freeze your block. Make sure you use distilled water. Calcium is bad for the motor.

Yeh...Gillespie County water will distroy a radiator. We get into the teens in the hill country, so I run 50/50.

Tap water is very bad for cars that don't get 12,000 miles a year, Calcium build up is very hard to get rid of.
Distilled water is the only way to go.
As a rule in most non-extreme climates 50/50 is good.
Watter Wetter is a good product too.

Teens???.....30's???.... I only with it got that cool down here in Kingsville!! Sometime this past winter it got down to the chilling temp of............65. I use a 50/50 premix in our '65 coupe and dont have any problems (once i got the radiator to stop leaking).

Usually run 50 / 50 myself, no particular reason...just always have.

Houston has a cold day here and there but they are few and far between.

I was trying to recall but it seems like there were a few cold days this past winter where I had to make sure the pipes outside were wrapped up well, etc.

There have been a few times that I remember in the past. One Christmas day when I was about 12 years old (I am 35 now) it did get down to around 10 or 15 degrees so it can happen.

If the Stang isn't your daily driver then the easy answer is don't drive it the once in a blue moon it gets really cold here.

is distilled water really that important? I just used good 'ol tap water (if it tastes good it must be good right? lol)

using distilled water just seemed too expensive and too much work for me haha
