Depends on who you get it from... in my opinion you shouldn't pay more than 250$

Depends if its new, rebuilt, needing rebuild, .48 or .63 hot side etc.

I bought one in perfect working order for $230 shipped to my door (.60/.68) and an IHI for $65 shipped, both working

well there is no "non IHI"

theres a Borg Warner IHI and a Garret T3.

the T3 is better because it will feasibly create more boost?  am i right sleeper?

if you don't have a turbo yet, why not look into getting a T3/T4 hybrid if you plan on doing some GO FAST applications

Close. A T3 is a better turbo becaise it's more efficent in making boost till 23 PSI, where as the tbird IHI is only good till about 18-19 PSI. After those levels all the turbo makes is heat.

How fast do you want boost?

If you want it "right now" get an IHI, if you want it around 2800 RPM then get a T3

If you are only going to run 10-12 psi you may as well get an IHI.  It will spool quicker, and they are generally a little bit cheaper to buy because most people want the bigger turbo.

Just curious, why only 10-12 psi?  From the factory 14 psi was basically the norm.

Sory to bring it back up..

but i registered here to get this anwser

Who can install it?
what does labor cost for full turbo install?

How much is the turbo and intercooler kit? where is the cheapest place to find one?

I just want to run 5-8psi boost on a 99v6 mustang
just to get that lil extra power, and keep up with GTs

you would want to be looking at something mild or you could get a ball bearing turbo. for the money i spent i could have gotten a brandnew hybrid for the same price it was my brothers bad for showing me this too late..

Any performance shop should be able to install it, the cost... depends on turbo, mods needed, time, etc.

Depends where you get the kit from, but ebay is the cheapest.

You''l need different injectors, pistons, rods? crank? for a 3.8 V6 because its not as strong as the 2.3 turbo

you would be better off, by getting a supercharger setup off of a thunderbird supercoupe.
